2.莲花坐

46.Place theright heel at the root of the left thing and the left heel at the root of theright. Cross the hands behind the back and take hold of the toes, the right toewith the right hand and the left toe with the left. Place the chin firmly onthe breast and look fixed at the tip of the nose. This is called padmasana and destroysall diseares.

右脚后跟放在左侧大腿根部,左脚后跟放在右侧。双手身后交叉抓住大脚指头,右手抓右侧脚趾,左手抓左侧脚趾。下颚紧靠胸腔,眼睛凝视鼻尖。这就是莲花坐,可以驱除所有疾病。


47.Another view:place the feet firmly(soles up) on the opposite things and place thehands(palms up) one upon another in the middle. Direct your eyes to the tip ofthe nose and place the tip of the tongue at the root of the front teeth. Placethe chin on the chest and slowly rise upwards the prana(by contracting the anus in the Mulabandha)

另外一个做法:同样脚后跟紧靠在对侧的大腿根部,双手掌心向上重叠相放,置于正中,双眼凝视鼻尖,舌砥上额,下颚靠近胸腔,(通过会阴收束法收缩肛门)引导能量向上运行。


48. This is Padmasanathat destroys all diseases. It cannot be attained by ordinary mortals. Only some intelligent persons attain it.

莲花坐可以消除一切疾病,但是大多数普通人无法通达莲花坐,只有少数慧根深厚的人才能掌握莲花坐。


49.Assuming thePadmasana posture and having placed the palms one upon another, fix the chinfirmly upon the breast and contemplating the Brahman, frequently contract theanus and raise the apana upwards. By a similar contraction of the throat, forcethe prana downwards. By this he obtains unequalled knowledge through the favorof Kundalini (which is roused by this process).

采用莲花坐姿,双手重叠相放,下颚贴靠胸腔,观照“梵”的冥想,有频率的收缩肛门,引导气息上行;同样的方法收缩喉咙,迫使气息下行。通过这样的练习唤醒昆达尼里,可以获得无上智慧。


Brahman:梵,梵的原意是魔咒曼荼罗、祭祀仪式和唱诗僧侣,引申为自祭祀仪式所得的魔力;《奥义书》和其后的各正统学派在通过否定后,正面断定“梵”与“我”的存在,而且是唯一、不二的存在。这种终极观是实体性的,在思想的最高位置。“梵”是“非概念”的,超越一切名相概念和判断推理,不能靠思辨体验,只能通过瑜伽直接体验。


50.The yogi,sitting in Padmasana posture, by restraining the breath drawn in through thenadis, becomes liberated. There is no doubt of this.

瑜伽士采用莲花坐,通过抑制呼吸频率,打通气脉,得到解脱,这是没有任何值得怀疑的。


3.狮子坐

51.Then theSimahasana is described: place the ankles upon the perineum-right ankle uponthe left side of it, left ankle upon the right.

狮子坐的描述如下:会阴坐在脚踝上(右侧脚踝放在会阴左侧,左侧脚踝放在会阴右侧)


52.Place thepalms upon the knees, extend the fingers and direct the eyes to the tip of thenose with opened mouth and a concentrated mind.

双手放在膝盖上,伸直手指,眼睛凝视鼻尖,嘴巴大张开,意识集中。


53.This isSimhasana held in so great esteem by the highest yogis. This most excellentasana facilitates the three bandhas.

狮子坐是如此的完美,得到高阶的瑜伽士的推崇,他是促进练习三个班达的最完美的体式。


4.蝴蝶坐(束角式)

54.Next theBhadrasana: place the ankles upon the sides of sivni (the perineum). The rightupon the right and the left upon the left.

接下来是蝴蝶坐:会阴坐在脚踝上,会阴右侧坐在右脚踝,会阴左侧坐在左脚踝上。


55.Then bind thethings with your hands wound around them. This is Bhadrasana and destroys allills. The siddhas and the yogis call this Gorakshasana.

用手绕过大腿捆绑,这是蝴蝶坐可以驱除所有的顽疾,瑜伽修行者和成就者把这称之为牧牛式。


补充知识:(Bhadrasana or the Gracious Pose is good for activating theMooladhara chakra. In Sanskrit ‘Bhadra’ means ‘auspicious’ and ‘asana’ means‘pose’. Bhadrasana is mentioned in the Hatha Yoga text Hatha Yoga Pradeepikaand also in the Gheranda Samhita.)蝴蝶坐(束角坐)是一个刺激根轮的理想姿势,在梵语中“Bhadra”的意思是“吉祥的”,“asana”的意思是“姿势”,蝴蝶坐在哈他瑜伽典籍《哈他瑜伽之光》和《格雷达本集》中被提到。


56.Thus the yogi should untiringly practiceall these asana until he feels no pains or fatigue, purifying the nadis byperforming pranayama and practice the mudras and kumbhakas of various sorts.

至此,瑜伽士通过练习各种呼吸法、班达收束法和持息法净化气脉,已经达到毫无疲惫的练习所有的体位法,直到他没有任何痛苦和疲乏的困扰。


57.Then in thecourse of Yoga, the concentration upon the nada (sounds which come from theAnahata chakra or the cardiac plexus) comes next.

通过瑜伽的练习,专注聆听秘音(来自心轮或者是心脏血管的声音)。
